77-year-old man hurt in Pinal County ATV crash

SUPERIOR, AZ (CBS5) -

A 77-year-old man suffered serious head injuries in an ATV crash on Wednesday in Telegraph Canyon outside of Superior.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office said a witness told dispatchers that Dwayne Turley lost consciousness after the crash and his group wasn't able to get cell phone service. They put Turley on a vehicle and drove to the top of a hill to call 911.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office Air Unit was able to get GPS coordinates from the 911 caller and was able to locate the group.
