Westbound Interstate 10 has reopened at Riggs Road in the wake of a semitrailer rollover, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.
No one was injured, but the crash spilled 220 gallons of diesel from the fuel tanks, DPS said.
The westbound lanes were closed for about two hours, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.
No other information about how the crash happened was immediately available.
This was the third time in six days that a big rig crash has closed part of I-10 in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Last Wednesday morning, a semitruck hauling mulch rolled over on I-10 near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at the Interstate 17 junction in Phoenix.
On Thursday morning, the driver of a big rig was killed when his semitruck crashed into a barrier on I-10 in Tempe and caught fire.
