Meistersingers host benefit concert to help tornado ravaged church

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Concert Association's Meistersingers Chamber Ensemble hosted a benefit concert Sunday afternoon.

After being left without their church home Westminster Presbyterian, the Meistersingers decided to host a benefit concert and perform to "Passion, Love, and Flowers", which they had originally sang one hour before the February 10 tornado ripped through their church.

With the help of their neighbor, Parkway Heights United Methodist, the Meistersingers sang in front of hundreds of residents who came out to support and help the church.

"We're going to get through this together and it's a really good feeling to know that so many people are supporting us," said Westminster Presbyterian Pastor, Steve Ramp.

If you were unable to attend the concert, but would like to help the church, you can donate online HERE.
