NOGALES, AZ (CBS5) -

For the second time in a week an 18-year-old woman was arrested at the Nogales port of entry for attempting to smuggle heroin into the country under her bra.

Karen Ashley Cedano Rojas, a Mexican national, tried to enter the United States through a pedestrian lane when a Customs and Border Patrol narcotics canine alerted CBP officers to the presence of drugs.

CBP officers pulled Rojas aside for additional screening where they found 3.4 pounds of heroin tucked into Rojas' clothing.

The 3.4 pounds of heroin found on Rojas has a street value of $47,000.

CBP turned Rojas over to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.

The first attempt to smuggle bra-strapped heroin into the U.S. was on Feb. 21 when an 18-year-old woman from Nogales was arrested for having less than a pound of heroin in her bra.

CBP officials said a 37-year-old woman from California was also arrested this week with eight pounds of heroin worth about $127,000 duct-taped under her bra.
