Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said he's getting ready to return to work after falling down and breaking a bone in his shoulder.
On Friday, Arpaio tweeted, "Getting ready for my soon return to the office! Hairstylist Patty was pleased with the results. What do you think??"
According to MCSO Media Director Lisa Allen, Arpaio was walking to lunch in downtown Phoenix when he tripped and fell late last month.
Allen said that Arpaio, 80, is in good spirits, but is still in a lot of pain.
"He's doing fine," said Allen.
"He's giving everybody in the emergency room, including the doctors and the nurses, a really hard time and making them laugh," she continued.
During Arpaio's stay in the hospital, MCSO Deputy Ruben Garcia, who was wounded on duty in January, visited the sheriff.
Arpaio tweeted, "I got a surprise visit from Deputy Garcia today ... he is looking a lot better after being shot two months ago."

MCSO released a photo on Twitter of Arpaio and his wife Ava from his hospital room.
On the sheriff's YouTube account, Arpaio explained what happened from his hospital bed.
"I blame myself," Arpaio began.
"I fell. I broke my arm. [I'll] tell you one thing. I wouldn't recommend that situation to anybody," he continued.
CBS 5 News spoke to Renaissance Fine Jewelry owner Jaime Laza, who saw Arpaio moments after the sheriff fell down.
"He looked like he was in some pain, because he was grabbing his arm," said Laza. "He looked pale, like maybe it was a stroke or something."
MCSO officials gave no indication that Arpaio suffered a stroke or any other serious medical condition.
He's expected to be in a sling for at least six weeks.
