WASHINGTON, Feb. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of America Saves Week, ICMA-RC is pleased to announce the launch of RealizeRetirementSM, a goal-oriented educational online financial resource geared toward public sector workers at various career stages.
According to the sixth annual national survey assessing household saving, released as part of America Saves Week, nearly half of Americans don't have a savings plan with specific goals. ICMA-RC, which has won more than 55 national awards in partnership with public sector plan sponsors for educational resources,1 designed RealizeRetirement using simple, goal-oriented applications to educate public sector workers about building retirement security as they plan during different stages of their career. The site features videos, interactive calculators, digital publications and links to additional financial education resources that are relevant to public employees just starting their career, in mid-career, or those enjoying retirement.
"ICMA-RC is pleased to introduce RealizeRetirement, an educational resource dedicated to the retirement needs of public sector employees," said Joan McCallen, President and CEO of ICMA-RC. "ICMA-RC's commitment to helping build retirement security for the public sector continues through RealizeRetirement's compelling, yet simple, features to assist public sector employees in planning, saving, investing, and preparing for retirement."
