CLARKSDALE, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

(WMC-TV) The body found in Coahoma County Wednesday morning is confirmed to be that of Marco McMillian, 34.

Police began searching for McMillian after his car was involved in an accident that sent two people to the hospital. His body was found about 10 to 15 miles west of Clarksdale Wednesday morning.

McMillian was a mayoral candidate in the town of Clarksdale.

WLBT's sister station in Memphis, Action News 5, is working to learn more about the death.
