The following information was provided by MEMA on Tuesday, Feb. 19 and described the damage caused by the Feb. 10 tornado that crossed the Pine Belt.

  • Lamar: 134 homes destroyed, 169 homes major damage and 414 homes minor damage. Nine injuries.
  • Forrest: 192 homes destroyed, 338 homes major damage and 603 homes minor damage. 63 injuries.
  • Greene: Eight homes destroyed and two homes with minor damage.
  • Jones: 12 roads and three bridges with minor damage.
  • Marion: 12 homes destroyed, seven with major damage and six with minor damage. Three injuries.
  • Perry: Nine homes destroyed, three homes major damage and 37 with minor damage.
  • Wayne: 10 homes destroyed, eight homes with major damage and 22 with minor damage.
