MCCOMB, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics made 20 arrests Tuesday morning in a six-month investigation dubbed "Operation Gone Shopping." The name came from the location of the alleged drug sales, which took place at a McComb shopping center.

The arrest warrants were served in southwest Mississippi and Louisiana, and the suspects are considered lower-to-mid-level drug dealers of heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana and the prescription drugs Xanax and Suboxone.

"They are a mobile group," said MBN Director Marshall Fisher. "Some with two or more known addresses."

Assisting the MBN in the roundup were the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Louisiana State Police, Southwest Mississippi Inter-jurisdictional Narcotics Enforcement Unit, Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks, Mississippi Department of Transportation, Mississippi Department of Corrections, the police departments in Tylertown, Magnolia, Summit and McComb as well as the sheriff departments in Walthall and Pike counties.

All suspects are in the Pike County Jail, pending initial court appearances.
