Free dental work for ETX residents

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

East Texans lined up at Smith Dental Care in Tyler for the 9th Annual Dentistry from the Heart event. 

Their team of dentists, volunteer dentists, volunteers and sponsors came together to give East Texans one free day of dental work.

Registration began at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and lasted well into the afternoon. The business had coffee for the early risers who came at the beginning of registration.

Dentistry from the Heart is non-profit organization that has given more than 8 million dollars free dental care to more than 45,000 people nationwide.

    Some Hattiesburg residents are without water after a water line was cut Tuesday evening.  The City of Hattiesburg posted the notice on Facebook for residents at the intersection of Elks Lake Road and US Highway 49. Crews are on the scene and estimate that the problem will be resolved by 10 p.m. Exxon and residents along Elks Lake Road will not have water service until repaired.  Copyright WDAM 2018.
