HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The City of Hattiesburg celebrated African-American history with a BYOD event Tuesday night...that's bring your own dish.

For the second year, the focus of an annual celebration of Black History Month at the Historic Train Depot was food, soul food to be exact, with local residents bringing their favorite dishes as admission to the event.

Folks enjoyed meatloaf, shrimp, corn bread, collard greens and other items, while listening to the music of local blues legend Tommy "T-Bone" Pruitt.
