Authorities have captured an inmate who was convicted of crimes in the Pine Belt.
Authorities say Richard Glen Maples was arrested in Moss Point late Monday night. He had left the Pike County Community Work Center over the weekend.
Maples was serving a seven-year sentence – after being convicted of several crimes in Jones County. The crimes include burglaries of a home and vehicle – as well as credit card fraud and identity theft. Maples faces an additional five-year sentence if convicted of the escape.
