Owner/manager of local auto parts stores dies

Funeral arrangements are complete for a local businessman who died Friday.

Joseph "Mike" Sennett Conner Brady, Sr., died after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Brady owned and managed NAPA auto parts stores in Laurel and Heidelberg.  Survivors say Mr. Brady worked actively up until last week.

Visitation for Mr. Brady is taking place Monday night from 5:00 until 8:00 at Memory Chapel in Laurel.   The funeral will follow Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at Highland Baptist Church.

He was 81.

    Southern Miss baseball will be missing four key contributors when the its season opens against Mississippi State on February 16. Hayden Roberts, Taylor Braley, Kirk McCarty and Dylan Burdeaux wrapped up their first minor league seasons in the fall. Roberts, a 34th round MLB draftee of the Colorado Rockies, struck out 45 batters in 21 games with the Grand Junction Rockies.
