Four arrested after Perry County armed home robbery

Posted: Updated:
PERRY COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Four Perry County residents, including three juveniles, are behind bars charged with home invasion and armed robbery.

Authorities say the men kicked in the front door of a New Augusta homeowner on West Wingate Road in search of money. Deputies say one of the men was armed with a shotgun and pointed the weapon at a 3-year-old who came out of a bedroom during the robbery.

The homeowner was beaten and the robbers searched the house for money but found nothing.

The suspects are identified as Bobby Douglas White, 22; Brandon Smith,17; and Darron Dunaway, 17 - all of Richton. Also captured was Landon Parker, 16, of Beaumont.

Deputies say although the men were wearing bandanas over their faces, the homeowner was able to recognize one of them, which led to the arrests.
