There has been a lot of debate and discussion over whether or not popular singing star Beyonce was lip syncing the National Anthem at President Obama's inauguration this week.  Of course, if she was, she was doing it to her own voice—a not totally unusual practice in show business.  Frankly, I don't care if it was live or prerecorded.  She sang it, it was an absolutely beautiful and inspirational rendition done in a respectful way.  Better that than some of the terrible performances of the Anthem done by certain other performers who have butchered it…or worse yet—disrespected it.  Whether one agrees with the political stands of this president or not, he was duly elected by the people and the inauguration is a hallowed national event that deserves to be served up with beauty and dignity.  Beyonce did both and that's what matters.
