LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The shortlived mystery of who vandalized a part of the Oak Grove Athletic Association's Optimist Park has been solved.

Lamar County Sheriff's Dept. officials say Tuesday night, several juveniles contacted authorities and admitted to driving a truck onto Field #5 over the weekend and damaging the outfield portion.

Those officials say the juveniles will not be charged with a crime. Instead, they will pay for the damages and help repair the field.
