HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg Ward 4 Councilman Dave Ware announced Monday he would run for mayor of Hattiesburg.

He made the announcement at 5:45 p.m. at the Historic Hattiesburg Train Depot.

Ware has represented Ward 4 for 8 years. He will face incumbent mayor Johnny DuPree who has been serving for three terms. There are no term limits for the office.
