Authorities tell us it happened around 11:40 p.m. Thursday at the Lone Star Motel in the 3200 block of West Gentry Parkway.

Right now, Tyler Police tell us that a man was sitting in his truck when he was approached by what he believes was a black male in a ski mask. That's when the suspect showed a handgun and demanded money. The victim handed over an unknown amount of money, and that suspect fled the scene.
