Two car Hattiesburg accident injures three

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A two car accident on Highway 49 in Hattiesburg injured three Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. in front of the Hub Lanes Bowling Alley. A Volkswagon Beetle collided with a Honda CRV. After the collision both vehicles ended up in the median.

The driver of the Honda had to be extricated from the vehicle with the jaws of life. He was taken to Forrest General with non-life threatening injures as were the driver and a passenger in the Volkswagon.

It's not known at this time what caused the two vehicles to collide.

    Winter weather advisories are now effect for the entire WDAM viewing area until midnight Wednesday. Cold Arctic air is now pouring into the Pine Belt behind a strong cold front. Temperatures will likely fall to the lower 30s by early this afternoon.
