ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
With the college football season ending, coaches are turning their attention back to recruiting.
National signing day is just over a month away but coaches are already working on next year.
Albany High linebacker Juwon Young could be one of the top defensive players in the state next season.
Young was one of the top defensive players at the Rising Seniors all-star game this past week in Atlanta.
Young and Monroe quarterback Charles Stafford were among a number of south Georgia players who caught the attention of college coaches.
Juwon Young says he has gotten contact from coaches on social media since the game and says gives him a valuable head start in the recruiting game.
"I feel ahead of the game. Starting early from the 8th grade until now has put me ahead of the game. I don't have to rush as fast as other people do in the recruiting stage," said Juwon Young.
