MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) - Jerrold Brooks and Rashard McGill each scored 18 points, and Neil Watson finished with a double-double, 14 points and 11 assists, to help Southern Mississippi blow out Morehead State 94-58 Friday night.
Daveon Boardingham chipped in 13 points and Norville Carey came off the bench and added 12 points and three steals for the Golden Eagles (9-4).
Southern Miss scored the game's first 11 points, and led 30-8 with 9:30 left to play in the half.
The Golden Eagles held Morehead State to 33.3 percent (8 for 24) shooting in the first half.
Brooks scored 15 points in the first half to help Southern Miss lead at halftime 48-27.
Morehead State (5-8) got within 15 points in the second half, 54-39, with 15:07 left to play, but the Eagles would be outscored 50-19 the rest of the way.
Bakari Turner led Morehead State with 16 points.
