1 person injured in Hub 18-wheeler/car accident

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

One person was sent to the hospital in Hattiesburg Wednesday night after an accident involving an 18-wheel truck and a passenger vehicle. 

Details are incomplete, but the wreck happened before 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 49 and W. Pine Street. 

Police say one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.  

There's no word yet on the cause of the accident.
