An 11-year-old student at Presbyterian Christian School took center stage Tuesday night in his hometown to sing in a Christmas classic with the Mississippi Opera.
Jackson Creel had the lead role in Amahl and the Night Visitors. It was performed at Trinity Episcopal Church.
The production is part of a three-stop, statewide tour which will wrap-up in Lexington Thursday night.
The Mississippi Opera is in it's 68th season and this is Jackson's first lead role in a production.
