Collins man pleads guilty to threatening to injure FBI agents

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Collins man pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court to threatening to injure agents working in the Hattiesburg office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Brett Rogers, 43, admitted to posting an email message on the FBI's website in September saying he was going to go to the "little FBI office in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and start putting some bullets through the heads of people."

Rogers will be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett in March. He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
