If you live in Hattiesburg, and wouldn't mind tasting one of the best burger's in the state you are in luck.
One of the top 10 best burgers in the Magnolia State is 2 Brothers Grill in Oak Grove. They are number one on the Mississippi Beef Council Best Burger Top Ten List.
The owner of 2 Brothers Grill, Brad Cornett says they didn't submit any information to the contest. He says it was all the public's votes on Facebook. Cornett says within the next couple of month's judges from the beef council will visit 2 Brothers Grill for a taste test, along with the others on the top ten list, and choose the overall champion. Cornett says he has an idea of why they made the list of finalist.
"One thing that separate us is our burgers are fresh," said Cornett. We hand patty all of our burgers everyday. We use different type of beef call certified angus beef. It is the top grade beef that there is, just the hand patty, not frozen makes a big difference.
The winner will get the title of "Mississippi's Best Burger" contest and a $1,000 advertising package. All will be announced at the Dixie National Farm Expo on February 9.
