Laurel rounds up 32 in an early morning drug bust

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - Dozens of alleged middle and upper-level drug dealers are off the streets in Laurel after an early morning round up Tuesday.

Laurel Narcotics Agents and other officers started going door to door at 3 a.m. Tuesday issuing search warrants on alleged cocaine dealers.

Police say many of the suspects are habitual offenders and could face life in prison if convicted.

The suspects are expected to make their first appearance in Jones County Circuit Court on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
