HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Officials confirmed the 57-year-old woman killed in the shooting at Keesler's family campground was the shooter and committed suicide Sunday.

According to officials, the shooting victim, a 66-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The incident reportedly stemmed from a domestic disturbance.

Keesler has not released the names of the two involved in the shooting. However, Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said the man is retired from the Army and the woman reportedly had a Louisiana driver's license.

A press release issued by Keesler stated, the shooting started at around at 8:15 a.m. Sunday at the camp ground located off base, near Thrower Park, just north of Pass Road on Atkinson Road in Biloxi.

Keesler officials stated the scene was secured by Air Force Office of Special Investigations for an initial investigation.

Officials said, the incident was deemed isolated and posed no threats to Keesler's mission or resources.
