Incumbents prevail in Mississippi congressional races

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Five of Mississippi's congressional delegates were reelected Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

The Associated Press has projected Rep. Bennie Thompson and  Rep. Steve Palazzo as winners.

Thompson, a Democrat, represents Mississippi's 2nd Congressional District.

Palazzo, a Republican, represents Mississippi's 4th Congressional District.

AP has also projected Rep. Greg Harper and Rep. Alan Nunnelee as winners, along with Sen. Roger Wicker. All three are Republicans.

Mitt Romney is the projected winner in Mississippi's presidential race.
