The men's team finished with a 10-1 record, 7-0 in the South Division on their way to a state and region championship. Likewise, the women finished 12-2, defeated what looked to be an unbeatable Jones County Junior College squad in the state championship, then won the region championship.

Could both the men's and women's soccer teams at Pearl River Community College return to Poplarville with the most coveted piece of hardware? Both have a chance to make that happen.

For the first round of the national tournament, the men will travel to Tyler, Tex. to take on Paris Community College on Friday, while the lady Wildcats host Brevard Community College, ranked as the number one junior college team in the land.

The ladies have a little more work ahead of them. Besides a date with the best team in the dance, a win would advance them to Florida for the semi-finals. The men, meanwhile, would advance to the national championship finals with a win on Friday.

The clash in Poplarville will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
