Mississippi Red Cross help victims along the east coast

More help is on the way from Mississippi, to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

On Wednesday, the Mississippi Red Cross sent Emergency Response Vehicles to lend a hand.

Eight Emergency Response Vehicles (ERV) and 41 staff and volunteers from the Red Cross Mississippi Region are responding to the disaster in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. They are working in feeding from fixed sites and ERVs, shelters, logistics and client casework.

The Red Cross has mobilized 1,700 disaster workers from all over the country who have served more than 25,000 meals and snacks so far.

Contributions may also be sent to your local Red Cross chapter.
