A memorial service will be held next week at Southern Miss – for a member of a Speech and Hearing instructor who died last week.
Virginia Berry joined the Southern Miss faculty in 1993. During her tenure at the university, Berry supervised students in the university's audiology clinic – and won the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences' Teacher of the Year award several times.
The memorial service will be held October 31st at 10:00 a.m. at the Thad Cochran Center on campus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Virginia Berry Memorial Fund at the Southern Miss Foundation. Checks may be sent to 118 College Drive, #5092, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, 39406-0001.
