Few things strike terror into a human being than to be told
that they have Cancer. Cancer is a
scourge that has touched almost all of us either first hand or second hand with
its horrible consequences. We've all had
close friends and loved ones beset with this awful disease even if we have so
far escaped it ourselves. Here at WDAM
we've lost 3 long term and cherished co-workers and members of the channel
seven family in the past several weeks to cancer of one kind of cancer or
another. October is Breast Cancer
Awareness Month as we are reminded every time we see the color pink. Medical science has come a very long way in
fighting this enemy of the human body…but many treatments and cures still elude
us. Let's use this month to raise our
awareness of cancer of all kinds. Check
yourself or get checkups regularly. Give
generously to cancer research. Wear pink
as a reminder that we still have a long way to go against this formidable and
hated foe.
