LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

The Laurel Police Department received a $5,000 grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation, Tuesday. 

Wal-Mart officials presented the department with the check during the council meeting. Officer, Gary Dickerson said the department is extremely grateful for the funds. He added, that money will be used for equipment, training, and community involvement projects.
