Three separate accidents took place beginning at 1 p.m. on Interstate 59 North in between the Moselle and Ellisville exits Sunday.
The first accident involved a truck with an attached camper. Driver of the vehicle, 65-year-old William Carter said the Camper started shifting from side to side and caused his truck to lose control and flip over three times.
Coming back from Cruisin' the Coast, Carter's wife was driving in a separate classic car behind him and witnessed the whole thing. Carter walked away from the accident with a minor cut on his hand.
According to Jones County Fire Coordinator Dan McKenna, the second accident involved three vehicles and the third one involved four. A total of eight vehicles were involved in accidents causing seven people transported to the hospital, in which their conditions are still unknown.
All three accidents were approximately a mile away from each other.
