All good things must come to an end. As the 2012 Cruisin' the Coast wraps up, many can agree the event was a huge success.
"It's been fun," said cruiser Augie Godfrey
"It's been good, a little crowded, but good," said long time cruiser Jim Cowart
"We're upset we have to go home cause we've had such a good time all week here," said New Jersey cruiser Mark Sullivan.
Cruisers from across the country flocked to Centennial Plaza to join in the festivities and pre-register for next year.
Sullivan said, after this year's fun, he will never miss a Cruisin' the Coast event.
"It's just the love of the hobby, that's the huge feeling," said Sullivan.
It's the people behind the event that help with its soaring success. Executive Director Woody Bailey said, this year, they had a record 6,169 cars. Plus, he said, there were an estimated 3,000 unregistered classic cars.
"Another record we have. We have 41 states and two countries here Cruisin' the Coast. I'd love to see us have 50 states represented here," said Bailey.
Those record breaking numbers, great weather, classic music, and rolling attraction have people in agreement.
"I cant wait to come back next year... yea! Good call," said Sullivan and his friend Eli Oneal.
