A truck driver escapes injury following a collision.

The Jones County Fire Council, which provided the photo, says  Kenneth Eldridge, 62, was traveling south on Luther Hill Road in his 18-wheeler this morning.

Officials say Eldridge's steering wheel locked up – and he adds he hit the accelerator instead of the break -- when his rig ran off the road.  Eldridge's truck sideswiped several small trees -- and crashed on into a large tree.

Authorities found Eldridge shaken with minor bruises and cuts.
