(RNN) – In 2008, we had the Obama Girl. Now, we have an Oscar-nominated actor telling us to wake up – and using some very adult language to do so.

Samuel L. Jackson, famous for dropping the f-bomb when he was tired of snakes on the plane, or checking out the big brain on Brett, is starring a video supporting the re-election of President Barack Obama.

The three-minute, 30-second video Wake the F--- Up shows a young girl going room to room trying to get her family motivated to participate in the presidential election, like they did four years ago. When her pleas fall on deaf ears, Jackson uses the intensity and salty language he's famous for to make his case – in rhyme.

The video builds off Jackson's reading of the audio book, Go the F--- to Sleep, a book for parents who know the exasperated feeling caused by a child who won't stay in bed. The book spoofs It's Time to Sleep, My Love, and is clearly not for kids.

Jackson delivers his impassioned plea with a similar cadence to the audio book reading, which isn't surprising since Adam Mansbach, who wrote Go the F--- to Sleep, also wrote the dialogue.

The end of the video, which is sponsored by the Jewish Council for Education and Research, states it was not approved or authorized by any candidate.
