HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Just a few weeks away from seeing its first patient, a new multi-million dollar facility opened its doors to Pine Belt residents Sunday.

Over 3-hundred people gathered at The Orthopedic Institute to get a glimpse of the new 74-thousand square feet facility. Located on the campus of Southern Bone and Joint in Hattiesburg, The Orthopedic Institute gave the public tours to their various rooms as well as demonstrated several of their new, advanced orthopedic devices.

The one-stop shop in orthopedic care hopes to become the crown jewel of the Southeast and will be seeing their first patient October 15.
