Jones County authorities investigate mobile home fire

Authorities investigate the cause of a fire -- which destroyed a mobile over the weekend.

The Jones County Fire Council says the fire happened on Tower Road.  Firefighters arrived late Sunday morning and discovered the home was already fully engulfed in flames.  Officials say no one was home at the time of the fire.

    Hattiesburg police are investigating an “accidental” death at the Midtown construction site off Hardy St. near the USM campus. Officials confirm a 45-year-old construction worker has died.
