    The Jones County Sheriff's Department made a significant narcotics arrest and recovery in an ongoing investigation of a large drug trafficking organization.  Deputies arrested Jermaine Antonio "Tony" Newell on during a Nov. 15 traffic stop on Highway 28, just west of Soso.     A Hattiesburg man convicted of touching a child for lustful purposes must serve the remainder of his prison sentence after his denied motion for post-conviction release was affirmed by the Mississippi Court of Appeals.     An internationally acclaimed organist and author will perform at a Poplarville church.  Rev. Dr. Eric Pridmore, pastor of Poplarville First United Methodist Church, announced that Dr. Eileen Morris Guenther will be in recital at the church on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m., where she will rededicate the church's 1975 Rueter pipe organ.  Guenther is a lecturer in Organ at The George Washington University and also serves as Professor of Church Music at Wesley Theological Seminary....More >>
