HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Freshmen and transfer students at William Carey University checked into their dorms Friday morning before heading out to orientation.
The student government association split the new students into groups and gave them a tour of the facilities on campus. A separate orientation was held for parents where they learned what life at Carey would be like for their child.
Both freshmen and transfers will take part in survival weekend where they will do community service and take part in workshops where they will learn what a typical day at the school is like.
Classes begin on Monday.
