(WMC-TV) – A popular baby seat is the subject of a voluntary recall.
Bumbo International Trust said Wednesday that infants sitting in the Bumbo Baby Seat can fall from the seat, causing serious injuries.
The safety issue can be corrected by adding a safety belt to the seat.
Consumers can receive a free repair kit, which includes a safety belt with a new warning sticker. It also comes with installation instructions.
The Bumbo Baby Seats that need the new safety strap were sold between August 2003 and August 2012 at Target, Wal-Mart, Sears, Toys "R" Us, Babies "R" Us, USA Babies and other children's stores nationwide.
If you have one of these baby seats, you are urged to stop using it immediately and contact Bumbo International Trust to receive a free repair kit. You can call them at 1-866-477-5144 or visit their website for more information.
