Jones County Sheriff's Department facing $300,000 in cuts

The Jones County Board of Supervisors said Monday they want the sheriff to trim $300,000 from next year's budget.

Supervisors say Sheriff Alex Hodge has been overspending since he's been in office.

The Jones County Sheriff's department currently has 92 employees, that's 32 additional employees since he took office in 2008. His currently yearly budget is at $3.4 million.
