The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling more than 5000 stage and riser caddies that were sold by Midwest Folding Products.
The recall comes after a three-year-old girl died from head trauma. A portion of the portable stage fell out of the caddy and struck her.
CPSC officials say the caddy's latches do not automatically close to secure the stage and risers when they are stored.
The caddies were primarily sold online to churches, schools and performing arts centers.
