HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Nearly 1,000 people are expected to attend an annual health and fashion event for Hattiesburg-area women this weekend. The Pine Belt Women's Expo is in its 2nd year and will be held Saturday at the Lake Terrace Convention Center for the first time.

More than 60 vendors will offer women information on health and fashion, along with tips on home décor and cooking.

Wesley Medical Center is one of the sponsors.

"This year, we needed a bigger venue, so that's why we decided to move it to the Lake Terrace Convention Center," said Traci Rouse, chief marketing officer with Wesley Medical Center.

"We also have rooms available for childcare this year, some additional rooms for seminars. So, we're excited about the growth and we're looking forward to seeing the crowd come out," Rouse said.

$10,000 in prizes will also be given away during the event, which will be held from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
