The Perry County man whose body was found inside his home Friday in the Janis Community has been identified.
Seventy-four-year-old Robert Campbell's badly decomposed body was found by a Perry County deputy while performing a welfare check at the residence. Authorities say Campbell had been shot in the back and had been dead for three or four months.
His 64-year-old wife, Margaret Diane Campbell, was not at the home when the body was discovered. She was later tracked down on Saturday living in Wiggins. After being questioned she was arrested and charged with murder.
Neighbors told authorities Campbell would make occasional trips to the property to feed a dog at the home.
Margret Cambell's bond was set at 350,000 Tuesday during her first court appearance. The judge ordered her to receive a mental evaluation.
