Authorities are investigating the death of a Perry County man whose decomposed body was found in a residence in the Janice Community Friday night. Sheriff Jimmy Dale Smith said the man, in his mid-70s, may have been dead for several weeks. He was found on the floor of a camper home about 5:30 p.m. by a sheriff's deputy.
Smith says he's awaiting autopsy results to confirm the man's identity.
Authorities had also been searching for the man's wife, who had not been seen for several days. She was found unharmed in Wiggins Saturday around 7:45 p.m.
