Laurel man arrested after Hattiesburg night-club stabbing

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A suspect is now in custody after allegedly stabbing a man at Ropers Friday morning, July 20.

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Justin Jordan of Laurel who was charged with aggravated assault.

The Hattiesburg Police Department responded at 1:47 a.m. to a call claiming a stabbing had taken place at the night club on Highway 49. 

When the police responded to the report, the officers found a man by the entrance with a puncture wound. The suspect was not at the scene.

Several witnesses gave a description of the suspect's car and tag number which led to the arrest of the suspect.

The victim was taken to a local medical facility for treatment.
