HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Salvation Army is hosting their first LemonAID fund-raiser throughout the month of July.
The LemonAID fund-raiser let's children run their own lemonade stand, and the proceeds with benefit needy children in the Pinebelt area.
All stands that sign up with receive a LemonAID kit that includes posters, badges, envelopes for proceeds, thank you cards for customers and sponsorship forms. The stand can be set up anywhere in the Pinebelt.
Hattiesburg volunteer Jonathan Diaz helped with the stand set up in front of the Salvation Army thrift store.
"I like helping the community while hanging out with my friends."
Assistant Corps Officer Captain Ronnette Smith helped oversee the stand in front of the store.
"We will have the stand set up in front of the store through July, and other places include Wal-mart and the boy and girls club."
