Two Marion County men charged with manufacturing ‘Spice’

MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Two Marion County men are facing multiple charges including manufacturing a controlled substance.

Marion County Narcotics Task Force, Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Department, and the Columbia Police Department arrested Michael Randolph Harvey, Sr. and Jason Lee Harvey on July 5, at their home on Shady Grove Church Rd. after authorities obtained a search warrant.

Police found several pound of a synthetic cannabinoid substance or ‘spice' and several items used in the manufacturing of spice.

Authorities also found two minors in the home. Marion County DHS workers were called to the scene and took the children. Later, they released them to family members.

Both men are facing several drug charges and one felony charge of child endangerment.

Harvey Sr. and Harvey are scheduled to appear in court July 10.
